Ponte Vedra Real Estate:  Where to live for Ponte Vedra High School?

There has been significant confusion ever since Nocatee developers lobbied to change the area west of the intracoastal from St. Augustine to Ponte Vedra.  Further complications were made when the city couldn't find enough land to put the new Ponte Vedra High School east of the intracoastal.  So let's set it straight ...

Where to live for Ponte Vedra High School?

Only residents living east of the intracoastal in Ponte Vedra BEACH will have students attending Ponte Vedra High.

Last school year, the residents west of the intracoastal in Ponte Vedra (use to be St. Augustine) did send their elementary and middle school age children to Ponte Vedra Beach elementary and middle schools.  But this will eventually change either due to Nocatee's population surpassing what the Ponte Vedra Beach high schools can handle or the elementary and middle school get built in Nocatee.  See the current St. Johns County and Ponte Vedra | Ponte Vedra Beach school attendance zones.

Now back to the Ponte Vedra v. Ponte Vedra Beach

This distinction didn't exist until a couple years ago.  If someone said Ponte Vedra or Ponte Vedra Beach they meant the same thing.  Now, we mean west of the intracoastal (Ponte Vedra or 32081 zip code) or east of the intracoastal (Ponte Vedra Beach or 32082 zip code).  So Marsh Harbour, Nocatee, Walden Chase and Florentine are all Ponte Vedra not Ponte Vedra Beach.
