Jacksonville is unique in that we had a fire back in 1901 that wiped out alot of the housing downtown. So when rebuilding was done and what is left today is mostly on the riverbanks around Downtown Jacksonville.

• Springfield would be the main "city core" neighborhood that is being revitalized in Downtown Jacksonville
• San Marco is on the Southbank and has a nice town center with St. Nicholas to the east and the San Jose section to the south. Popular for the schools, walking and biking.
• Riverside is on the Westbank and is one of the most walkable areas in town. It has a more urban vibe with many small business being located in the homes.
