Intracoastal Waterway Homes Found In St. Johns, Duval, Nassau And Flagler County
In Jacksonville (Duval County) the majority of intracoastal waterfront homes and condos will be located along San Pablo Rd. This is a popular location being just minutes to the beach and having the Mayo Clinic. One of the largest Jacksonville's waterfront neighborhoods, Isle of Palms, is located here with older, smaller homes next door to newer homes on canals leading to the intracoastal. There are other communities as you head north including a small, gated community of luxury homes at Seven Pine Island. However, if you are looking for the ultimate in luxury living or have a large boat or yacht then you should consider the luxury estates with a marina in Queens Harbour. Queens Harbour has it's own private lock system to the intracoastal for a protected marina that will fit boats just over 100'.
In Ponte Vedra Beach (St. Johns County) the waterfront along the intracoastal is limited and very expensive. You have the homes along Roscoe Blvd. These homes are typically on 400' long lots with width going from 75' to 150' typically. Roscoe Rd lacks the "planned" feel of other neighborhoods and gives you the privacy and scenic setting many are looking for. On the other end you have the private marina off the Intracoastal along with direct waterfront in Harbour Island in Marsh Landing. Besides the oceanfront, Harbour Island in Marsh Landing has some of the most expensive homes in Ponte Vedra Beach.
As you travel south from the Palm Valley Bridge in Ponte Vedra Beach into South Ponte Vedra Beach, you will find homes with Intracoastal views but lack intracoastal water access until you get to Vilano Beach. Around Vilano Beach you have Porpoise Point and Camachee Cove. Two very popular waterfront communities with easy access to the ocean. Then just minutes away you have Downtown St. Augustine and St. Augustine Beach with numerous properties on the intracoastal.
For the boater who like to live close to the beach or more serious boaters who want quicker access to offshore for excursions and fishing. Also popular with sailboats for a serene cruise up and down the U.S. Coastline.
