Cimarrone Golf & Country Club Real Estate

The approximately 750 Homes in Cimmarrone were built in the 1995-2007 range and have views of the golf, woods or lake. The David Postlethwait 18 hole par 72 golf course is a separate private membership. Amenities include a tennis club with clay tennis courts, playground, pool and fitness center for homeowners. Cimarrone Location

Cimarrone Golf and Country Club is a gated golf course community located in Northwest St. Johns County off of County Road 210. The other golf course communities in this area are St. Johns Golf & CC and South Hampton and they are both not gated. The other gated community in this area, St. John's Forest, doesn't have a golf course.

This is area is popular for being "away from it all" as in real surburbia yet having access  in just 3 miles to I-95 for quick shot into Southside business area, Downtown Jacksonville, St. Augustine or the airport. Please be aware during rush hour it does back up at the on/off ramp to I-95.

Where is Cimarrone?

Cimarrone Golf and Country Club is a master-planned community development perfect for those who love golf and the finer things in life. Founded over 20 years ago, Cimarrone has grown and developed to more than 700 homes recently. Located in the northwest corner of St. Johns Parkway and County Road 210, it is nestled in St. Johns, Florida (32259) in St. Johns County. Close to 95 and even closer to the brand new 9B, its residents can drive to Jacksonville within 15 minutes, the beach in 20, and the river in 15. And of course, drive time to the golf course is just as fast as your golf cart can get you there!

It's located in the heart of St. Johns, Florida, west of 95, 9B, and St. Johns Parkway. The new 95/9B interchange makes it far more convenient to travel just about any direction.

There are more than 600 homes in Cimarrone! While many of the surrounding neighborhoods boast beautiful homes, Cimarrone offers a far more custom look and feel to its homes with plenty of differing elevations and floor plans. From the south, use 95 N to exit County Road 210 and take it straight to Cimarrone Blvd. Turn right.

What makes it so special?

Cimarrone is community-focused, but if you’re looking for a home there, you probably love to golf! The club itself was established in 1988 but a majority of its homes are far more recent. The golf course is more than 6,900 yards of rolling hills, long fairways, and beautiful water features. The practice golf facilities include natural grass with a putting green and sand bunker. In fact, Cimarrone Golf Course is such a pleasure to play on that it was rated 4 stars out of 5 by Golf Digest Places to Play. It’s also noted as being in the top 100 courses in Florida.

The Cimarrone Golf and Country Club also features a 10,000 square foot clubhouse with a lounge, banquet facility, and a place for golfers to gather after a big game.

Of course, if golf isn’t your favorite sport you can still play basketball, tennis, soccer, baseball, run track, or swim in one of the recently-added community pools. This neighborhood specializes in golf but extends to just about everyone!

In 2016, the Cimarrone Golf and Country Club got a major upgrade! A newer, larger swimming pool with a splash pad and 4 lap lanes went in. They added shade structures and an area dedicated to pool restrooms. The amenity center is now larger with an updated fitness center, larger kitchen with a huge concession counter and eating area. The media/game room is also a lovely addition to the clubhouse.

Two new playgrounds, both ADA compliant, joined the mix shortly after with additional benches and shade. A new regulation sized basketball court with lights has been a huge hit. And of course, newly updated tennis course with lights, new playing surfaces, and shade structures are a favorite. The soccer and baseball fields were improved to eliminate holes and drainage issues. A covered picnic area, dog park, and jogging track round out the list of fabulous, new additions in just the past two years. With all the additions, you know this community is growing!

Cimarrone is gated on all sides and carefully monitored by security. That’s why it’s amazing there are currently no CDD fees associated with any residence in Cimarrone! This is an incredibly rare occurrence in Northeast Florida, especially St. Johns. There is a minimal, monthly HOA fee to maintain the numerous features recently added for residents’ enjoyment.

How about education?

One of the best parts about Cimarrone is the schools available to residents! St. Johns County is known for its A-rated schools from pre-school to high school. In fact, many argue you won’t find better public schools in Florida!

Children can have the pleasure of attending Timberlin Creek Elementary school.

Switzerland Point Middle School is open for the older kids residing in Cimarrone!

Students in 9th through 12th grade can attend Creekside High School or Bartram Trail High School.

The most exciting news near Cimarrone is the development of a brand new town center called Durbin Park in St. Johns., Durbin Park at St. Johns offers a brand new Walmart, Home Depot, Gate, Petco, Chase bank, and many of your favorite casual restaurants Firehouse Subs, Tropical Smoothie Café, Your Pie Pizza, and Kazu Sushi. Surrounded by preserves and peppered with lakes (including one for fishing and boat sales), Durbin Park in St. Johns will have walking trails and entertainment, too! Nearly 20 upscale businesses include Jacksonville’s first Bass Pro Shops; and you’ll be a quick drive away from everything!

Currently, your grocery stores and tons of local eats are all right there. The Johns Creek Center, about one mile away, include grocery stores, banks gas stations, restaurants, and hotels. You’ll also find plenty of shopping and restaurants right there on County Road 210 just outside the gates of Cimarrone.  You’re just a quick 20-minute drive from the St. Johns Town Center and all the shopping you could possibly wish for. If you’re a golfer, you’ll love the variety of golf courses within 10 miles of your front door – St. Johns Golf and Country Club, Palm Valley Golf Club, and the well-known TPC Sawgrass! And you boaters out there will love the nearby water access!
