The Destruction
Flooding damages numerous homes and causes injuries to hundreds of people each year. With a greater numbers of people moving into the state of Florida for its warm temperatures and beautiful weather, Florida has not only become a vacation hot spot but it is now a popular place to live in and retire to. Along with the warm weather and beauty, Florida does have its fair share of bad weather, and when bad weather approaches it is often in the form of hurricanes. People all around the world have noted the destruction and damage caused by hurricanes on the ocean’s coastal fronts and watched Florida’s torrential rains forcing numerous evacuations. Jammed floodgates at Florida dams were the source of water surging to dangerous levels, resulting in the collapse of many homes.
Hurricanes bring high winds, tornadoes, thunderstorms, and great amounts of rainfall. Most people are unable to pay extreme repair costs to restore their flood-damaged home, thus resulting in the largest reason for the necessity of obtaining flood insurance coverage.
The Dangers
The worst effect of floods is on one’s health. Floods cause the accumulation and spread of human waste in the flood waters. With these flood waters spreading to other areas, they bring with them diseases such as cholera and malaria. Floods often result in a loss of life, especially in low-lying areas and along riverbanks. Even with government taking action, having personal insurance in these areas becomes second nature.

Toronto real estate agent
Even though I, as a Toronto real estate agent, may not have the necessary experience with floods, tornadoes and these kind of natural phenomena, I am still convinced that people, no mather where they live, should have an insurance covering natural dissasters. The present is a time of weather changes, I don't want to sound hoax, but you can't be sure that nothing is going to happen to you. It is only a precausion, but why risk it.
