Ponte Vedra Schools Show Dramatic Improvement to Already Stellar Rankings
School Information
St. Johns County schools have been known for quite some time as offering great schools. Families who purchase homes for sale in Ponte Vedra do so for many reasons, with the schools being a major part of the decision. Once again this year, St. Johns County schools, which include Ponte Vedra schools, have ranked number three in the entire state of Florida.
St. Johns County, Florida school district has twenty-three ‘A’ schools and five ‘B’ schools, which is an amazing accomplishment. The number of ‘A’ rated schools has increased by forty-four percent over the previous year. These school grades really give credit to the wonderful administrators and educators in the St. Johns County schools. Being that the school grades have a lot to do with the students’ FCAT performance, it is a true picture of how well the children are learning and comprehending the necessary material to make it to the next level.
St. Johns County considers this a pat on the back from the State of Florida for all of their hard work throughout the previous school year. Administrators, teachers, and students all worked together to make it a stellar experience – which has obviously paid off. For those who are relocating to St. Johns County or purchasing real estate for sale in Ponte Vedra Beach, parents will be happy to know that their children will be getting an above-average education by state standards.
Even the schools in the district which were considered to be “low performing schools” have shown considerable improvement over last year, according to the Florida Department of Education. Not surprisingly because of its hard work, St. Johns County was one of thirty-two school districts which earned an ‘A’ rating in 2008 and one of only ten counties in Florida to score an ‘A’ rating for seven years in a row.
