Ponte Vedra Beach Culture Center Hosts “Beaches Unplugged Summer Series”

Recently, the Ponte Vedra Beach Culture Center celebrated Father’s Day in a unique way. That weekend kicked off the “Beaches Unplugged Summer Series” which is an upscale open mic night. Several local acts were featured, along with regional and national musicians. From amateurs to professionals, these acoustic performances came together for a night of pure fun and enjoyment for all who attended.
For the “Beaches Unplugged Summer Series” the musicians either brought their own musical instruments, or they utilized the piano that was provided by the Ponte Vedra Cultural Center. All of the performers had to be over thirteen years old to perform and the series consists of a total of three summer Sunday evenings. The performances are held in the breezy courtyard of the Ponte Vedra Beach Cultural Center. Some of the performers were Aimee Bogs, Frank Cyr, Mike Shackelford, and John Longbottom.

Going through your blog I really get the impression of ponte Vedra: chill-out, lay back, listen and enjoy. I must say that the unplugged summer series is a great idea. Although I'm a fan of the Vancouver music scene but I have to say that it would be nice to spend one Sunday evening at the beach in Ponte Vedra.
