Mayport Cruise Terminal Would be Great for Jacksonville

Millions could come to the local economy should the terminal be built.  It would also allow for bigger ships that wouldn't have to cross under the Dames Point bridge but just a few feet. (That is something to see).

While the economy is not doing so well the industry has seen a 8% increase in passengers since 1980.

The new terminal construction would created 1,531 jobs and inject more than $200 million into the local economy per the Jax Port.  In addition, when construction is completed in approximately 2 years, we would see 4,847 jobs created in a 6 year period.  This would bring in $500 million for the local ecomony.
