Road Construction Update: Mandarin at Old St. Augstine Road and Greenland Road

Why does it seem like the roads always come after they are desperately needed?

Traffic often gets backed up in Mandarin going towards the ramps onto I-95. The widening and exit ramp improvement on Old St. Augustine Road is almost a third finished. Hopefully, the more lanes added to the on and off ramps will make everybody happy when they are finished.

6 Lanes on Old St. Augustine Rd

The end result will be Old St. Augustine Rd will have a hearty 6 lanes from Losco to Greenland Rd. Then Old St. Augstine Rd will be widened by April time with a center turn lane between I-95 and Hood Landing Road.

4 Lanes to Greenland Road

To the south Greenland Road will be widened to four lanes from Phillips Highway to Coastal Lane.

Quicker Commutes Means More Popular Area For Buyers

I am hoping the end result will be a quicker commute for everybody in Mandarin. Home Buyers are always concerned with how long a commute to work it is. And with gas prices ever increasing this has become more of a deciding factor in their home buying decision then ever before.

So let's keep up the good work Jacksonville and get those roads expanded and traffic moving.
