Local Jacksonville Elementary School Takes Part In Olympiad

It is always nice to know that the schools in your community are actively participating in programs to inspire the students. Before the start of summer, the school sent its very first team of students to participate in the annual Language Arts Olympiad held at Jacksonville State University. This year’s team was made up of ten fifth graders and ten sixth graders, coached by area teachers in reading, writing, vocabulary, drama, grammar, and public speaking. Several of the students were rewarded with individual accomplishments, which demonstrates the dedication behind the teaching efforts of the teachers who chose to participate.
