I Saved 11.9% By Not Living in South Florida | Jacksonville Home Values

Buyer, Seller, Real Estate News

According to Zillow, South Florida median home values fell 23.5% in 2008.  Northeast Florida (Jacksonville and surrounding area) and the Nation had a matching loss of 11.6%.  This can be split between single family homes with a decline of 11.2% and condos with a decline of 17.3%.

Don't forget that this number doesn't mean that much.  Since lower price homes are selling more than higher price homes than it only make sense for the median value to fall.  But it makes a great headline!
