New Jobs and More People Coming to Jacksonville!

More high paying jobs and more people mean more of a demand for our Jacksonville Florida real estate.  Any increase of demand will help the sellers and landlords out there sell and rent out their properties.

Merril Lynch Bringing in More High Paying Jobs

Jacksonville Business Journal reports today that Merrill Lynch & Company will open it first global command center in Jacksonville.  300 new employees will be hired for this new center and 100 of the employees will be Merrill Lynch employees relocating from New York, New Jersey and Pennsylvania.  This center is expected to be filled by summer.  So we are getting about 200 new jobs for those locals looking for new work!

I know quite a few Merrill Lynch employees that have been relocated here from up north.  They absolutely love living in Jacksonville and Ponte Vedra Beach and never want to go back.  Other areas that you might want to check out if you want a short commute to your Gate Parkway office would be Southside, parts of Mandarin, Arlington and Intracoastal West.  So let me be the first to welcome all of 'yall' northern transplants to Sunny Florida and the First Coast.

And a very big thank you to Merrill Lynch for giving Jacksonville so much once again!

Navy Says Fleet Should Be At Mayport

U.S. Sen. Bill Nelson says that navy brass will be recommending to secretaries of defense and the Navy to put the Fourth Fleet at Mayport

The Fourth fleet was used as late as the 1950's for operations in Carribean and South American waters and will need to be reactivated to go to Mayport.

If this goes through it would bring a few hundred more personnel to Mayport Naval Station which will greatly impact the surrounding real estate in Mayport, Atlantic Beach, Neptune Beach, Jacksonville Beach, Arlington, Intracoastal West and Southside.

The Fleet would bring with it a 3 Star Admiral which will enhance the Mayport Naval Base and increase chances of getting an aircraft carrier and associated ships.  This mean hundreds of more people could be coming to live in the First Coast!

Mayport Naval Station would need upgrades in order for it to support these ships.  Both U.S. Senator Bill Nelson and U.S. Rep. Ander Crenshaw will be pushing to make this happen for Jacksonville.

A very big thank you from the First Coast to U.S. Senator Bill Nelson and U.S. Rep. Ander Crenshaw for working to improve our wonderful city.
