Countrywide’s new plan with Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now (ACORN) has Countrywide working with Homeowners that are already behind in payments.  What new you ask?  Well Countrywide now will work with you no matter which type of subprime loan you have!

How To Avoid Foreclosure

The first step to avoiding foreclosure in is contacting your mortgage company.  So if you are having payment problems and you are worried about foreclosure then give them a call.  Countrywide may offer to refinance you out of that rising adjustable rate or lock you into your rate for a longer period allowing you to continuing making affordable payments.

Sell Your Home, Short Sale If You Have To...

If you don’t think those options will work for you then you should consider selling your home.  Even if your home is worth less then your mortgage you can still do a Short Sale.  This can put you in a better position in the future than having a foreclosure on your credit.  Just remember you need to price your home right for this market or you will not sell your home.  Don't be an unreasonable seller, there are reasons why your home should be priced the way we suggest

I know you are finances are tight but you should list and sell with a Realtor in this situation.  Your bank will be more willing to work with you if you are listed with a Realtor and you will get more market exposure which will lead to a faster contract and a higher sales price.  The Realtor will give you the advice you need to get the highest price for your home.
